We picked a cool morning this summer to "work" a set of 90 spring calving cows.  It involved gathering them from one pasture, spraying the cows for flies, separating the bull calves and their mothers, taking out the herd bulls, running the calves down the runway and chute to give them wormer, and finally hauling the cows and calves to a new pasture where we had set up our new portable corrals to pair up the cows before turning them out.
